The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey

In close collaboration with the wonderful designer Arisu Kashiwagi and her team, we created a title sequence for the long-awaited drama mini-series The Last Days Of Ptolemy Grey which is now streaming on Apple TV+. Starring Samuel L. Jackson, the show tells the story of an old man, suffering from dementia, who is offered a treatment that promises to restore his memories and starts the journey of uncovering truths from his past.

The goal of the title sequence was to set the tone for the show by materializing Ptolemy’s memories, represented by charcoal sketches and 3D illustrated style animation. We brought the sequence to life through a variety of 3D, 2D and traditional cell animation techniques.
